Dr. Omar Zahzah is a professor of Arab, Muslim, Ethnicities and Diaspora Studies at SFSU. Ahmad is a writer, journalist, and poet as well as assistant professor of Arab and Muslim ethnicities and diasporas, AMED studies in the department of race and resistance studies at San Francisco State University. He's an organizer of Lebanese and Palestinian descent. Omar is the former education and advocacy coordinator of Eyewitness Palestine. He is a frequent contributor to the independent media outlets such as the Electronic Intifada and The Palestine Chronicle and also the author of Terms of servitude Zionism, Silicon Valley and digital settler colonialism in the Palestinian Liberation Struggle published September of last year.
Josh Paul was a former director of congressional and public affairs for the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, an agency within the United States Department of State before he resigned in October 2023, due to his disagreement with the Biden Administration's decision to rush lethal military assistance to Israel in the context of its war on Gaza. He now leads A New Policy, a nonprofit and nonpartisan lobbying organization dedicated to forging a new U.S. policy toward Israel and Palestine that improves the lives of Americans and people across the Middle East.
Lt. Colonel Anthony Aguilar (Ret.) served in the United States military for 25 years and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Special Forces as a Green Beret. During his career his deployments included missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Jordan, and the Philippines. In May of 2025, Aguilar began working for UG Solutions, which provided security at food sites run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. After witnessing IDF soldiers and American contractors fire indiscriminately at starving Palestinians with guns, but also with tanks and missiles, he resigned in protest. Since returning to the U.S, Aguilar has been speaking out in hopes of highlighting the atrocities and potential war crimes that Israel has committed. Please join us to learn more.
Dr. Zachary Foster - is the editor in chief of Palestine Nexus, a go to resource to understand what is happening in Palestine - online courses and a trove of over 40,000 historical documents that are available to download. Dr. Foster has a Ph.D in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University (2017). Since 2020, Palestine Nexus has redoubled its efforts to gather and protect treasures drawn from archives across the Middle East. During the talk Dr. Foster will address the history of Zionism, indoctrination, and how to overcome racist and supremacist ideology.
Greta Berlin has been an advocate for justice in Palestine since 1967, In 2006, after working in the occupied West Bank, she co-founded the Free Gaza Movement, which successfully sailed boats into Gaza five times in 2008. She was the spokesperson for Freedom Flotilla 1 when Israel attacked and killed ten passengers on board the Mavi Marmara.
Dr. Mohammad Subeh -is a Palestinian American emergency physician who has dedicated his life to serving others — locally in hospitals, nationally through public advocacy, and globally through annual medical missions in conflict zones, including to Gaza. Dr. Subeh was one of the medical coordinators for the latest Global Sumud Flotilla recently illegally intercepted by Israel in international waters.
