In June 1967 a virtually unarmed US Navy Intelligence ship was attacked by Israeli forces, killing 34 sailors and injuring over 170 more. According to eye witness reports, Israeli forces fired on the Liberty’s lifeboats, which is a war crime. What followed was a cover up by the U.S government. Rep. Massey is calling for a new inquiry into the event.
